The VR DigiVET project has made significant progress in its research phase, which is essential for understanding the digital skills needs of VET students, teachers and instructors in Albania.
The consortium carried out desk research, refined data-gathering tools and developed questionnaires targeting VET staff and students. These questionnaires were designed to assess current digital skills, identify training needs, explore the potential integration of AR and VR technologies, and understand the main barriers and opportunities for digital transformation in VET education.
The research phase also prepared the ground for collaborative workshops involving VET managers, teachers, instructors, students, academic experts and private sector representatives. These activities were designed to collect qualitative insights and identify the most relevant tools and methodologies for developing digital competences.
The information gathered through this process will support the creation of a tailored needs assessment and curriculum, with a specific focus on two growing economic sectors in Albania: tourism and technology.
